Katie Nelson is the owner and creative director for Kori. Working directly with clients, she develops strong relationships to deliver conceptual designs that elevate the brand and tell the client’s story.
Katie began her marketing career in San Antonio, TX working for Soliel Advertising as the Junior Graphic Designer. Clients included the McNay Art Museum and Archaeology, a publication of the Archaeological Institute of America.
A year later, she moved to Denver, CO where she started her own company, Katie Michelle Designs, providing independent graphic design services. During this time, she began working for Keller Williams Realty International as a freelance graphic artist. Pleased with her work, they moved her to Austin, TX where she was a designer for several Keller Williams offices. Within six months, she was offered the position of Lead Graphic Designer for KW Portfolio in San Antonio and was quickly promoted to Art Director.
Kate is a graduate of Texas Tech University in Lubbock, TX where she received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Graphic Communication with a minor in Painting. Her passion for painting allows Katie to fuse her zeal and ability as an artist into graphic design, giving her an authentic and unique style.
